Erste englische Theater AG Hamelns spielt Adaption des englischsprachigen Klassikers „The Wizard of Oz“ in der Sumpfblume.

Unter der Leitung von Lehrerin Juliane Ziemann-Spaniel präsentiert Hamelns erste englische Theater AG ihre Adaption des englischsprachigen Klassikers „The Wizard of Oz“ am 06. Juni 2023 um 19:00 Uhr in der Sumpfblume.

What does home mean to you? If you could turn into an animal right now, what would you be? If you
could have one magical power, what would it be? What would you use it for?
Theodor and Toto have just arrived in the Land of Oz. But the only way they want to travel is their
way back home. “There is no place like home,” they think. Having met strangely looking Munchkins,
good and evil witches, they also find new friends – the Scarecrow wishing to have a brain, a cowardly
Lion, and a Tinman without a heart. True friends who unconditionally accept the newcomers.
Together they embark on a journey with a destination unknown. Will they find a brain, a heart,
courage, and their way back home?
Die englische Theatergruppe English Drama Group des Viktoria-Luise-Gymnasiums begibt sich in
ihrem aktuellen Stück „The Wizard of Oz“ auf eine Reise in ein unbekanntes Land. Ein Land der
Akzeptanz und der Vielfalt. Der Stoff ist klassisch, doch die Themen brandaktuell. Die Fragen drängen
– Was bedeutet Heimat für dich? Was heißt es, akzeptiert zu werden? Was bedeutet Vielfalt? Auf
ihrer Reise finden die Jugendlichen der English Drama Group unerwartete und zugleich ermutigende
Antworten.
